Join us today and feel the difference in a workplace that’s on your team. </p><p><b>The ideal candidate’s responsibilities will be: </b></p><ul><li>To work under the direction of a supervisor to set up the workstation for each order</li><li>To assemble trusses in accordance with Company policies &amp; procedures, health and safety, and Standard Operating Procedures </li><li>To regularly inspect and review the condition of the equipment, the quality of the materials being used, and the quality of the work being performed/completed, and advise the supervisor of any concerns </li><li>To maintain a clean workstation throughout the shift, in addition to a final clean-up shortly before the end of the shift </li><li>To be responsible for using all equipment and operating all machinery in a safe, correct, and careful manner (as trained and instructed) </li><li>To actively participate in daily meetings and offer suggestions for continuous improvement for processes, production, and people</li><li>To complete other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><b>The ideal candidate will have: </b></p><ul><li>Woodworking and/or construction experience </li><li>Demonstrated the ability to use a hammer and read a tape measure in the foot-inch-sixteenth method</li><li>Demonstrated the ability to read, understand, and comply with work orders</li><li>The ability to work independently and cooperatively in support of the team </li><li>The ability to be detail-oriented, with attention to accuracy and safety </li><li>The ability to prioritize and work productively as a member of the team </li><li>Demonstrate the ability to learn and develop new skills </li><li>Strong organizational and communication skills</li></ul><p>If you are interested in this exciting opportunity with Norspan, apply today with your resume and cover letter, including salary expectations. </p><p>Norspan is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fostering a diverse workforce that is equitable and inclusive for all.       <title>Construction Estimator (Saskatchewan)</title>

Join us today and feel the difference between a workplace that’s on your team.</p><p><b>The Construction Estimator </b>must have extensive knowledge of the building industry including full-cycle building experience. The selected candidate is a sales&nbsp;professional who has extensive knowledge of the building industry&nbsp;assisting&nbsp;in providing a high-level customer service to our clients.<b></b></p><p>This role will be required to work Monday – Friday in our Martensville, Saskatchewan location.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p><b>The Construction Estimator will be responsible for:</b></p><ul><li>Completing accurate cost estimates and collecting quotes from contractors for residential, and commercial construction.</li><li>Develop multiple alternate project plans and schedules.</li><li>Prepare budgets from preconstruction design information.&nbsp;</li><li>Collecting all pertinent documents including property plans, technical drawings, and project specifications.</li><li>Determine project scope and contribute to preconstruction meetings to determining bid strategies.&nbsp;</li><li>Completing all labour, material, scheduling and other necessary items associated with estimating for the entire project.&nbsp;</li><li>Tracking priorities for the estimating department across all internal departments.</li><li>Working with project teams to meet all deadlines.</li><li>Creating material quotes in BisTrack according to standard operating procedures.</li><li>Other duties/tasks as assigned.</li></ul><p><b>The successful candidate will have:&nbsp;</b></p><ul><li>3-5 years of experience as a construction estimator (including labour, material and trades quoting experience for both residential and construction).</li><li>Relevant post-secondary education in a construction-related discipline is considered an asset.</li><li>Knowledge of the building envelope for both residential and commercial construction.</li><li>Ability to read, understand and interpret drawings and specifications.</li><li>Attention to detail as well as related math, technical and calculating skills.</li><li>Exceptional quantitative skills.</li><li>Detail-oriented, dependable, conscientious, and well-spoken.</li><li>Experience with BisTrack and Procore is considered an asset.</li></ul><p>If you are interested in this exciting opportunity with Norspan, apply today with your resume and cover letter including salary expectations.</p><p>Norspan is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fostering a diverse workforce that is equitable and inclusive for all.
